waterproof
   Typically refers to colors or other materials which will not decay or distort with exposure to water. The most common waterproof materials are various waxes, rubbers, plastics, and sealing agents. Also see encaustic, feather, fugitive colors, permanent, permanent pigment, lightfast, and water-soluble.
